Post image for Solar Powered Garden Lights

Solar powered garden lights present one of the best uses for residential solar use today.  Solar garden lights are easy to install and less expensive than electric lights.

The benefits of solar powered garden lights include:

  • They are generally not as expensive to purchase as electric lights.
  • Solar garden lights are easy to move if the garden design changes.
  • With solar powered garden lights there is no excessive digging
  • There is no underground wiring making installation less expensive.
  • Solar powered garden lights automatically come on when the sun goes down.

If there is a downside to placing solar lights in the garden, it would be that they are generally staked into the ground making them ripe for thieves.  However, if your garden is in the back of the house chances are few who would be inclined to steal the lights dare venture that deep onto the property.

The illumination of solar powered lights in the garden is generally soft, providing sufficient light along a walkway if placed close enough together while not presenting a glaring light that is too bright for the occasion.  Solar powered garden lights are an inexpensive solution to lighting garden paths, adding accent lighting, and creating a welcoming garden for sitting during spring evenings.
